Their duties include interpreting orders to determine which items need to be sent out, performing quality control assessments and stacking items safely and securely in the right packaging.
Essential Functions Pick & Pack Pulls products off of warehouse shelves and packs them based on daily orders.
Meets specifics of customer orders in a timely manner.
Keeps products separated, organized and in good rotation.
Monitors product quality frequently, reporting problems to mitigate safety issues.
Operates various pieces of equipment.
Reports any mechanical problems.
Utilizes continuous improvement mindset and assists in identifying opportunities to improve processes.
Follows good manufacturing practices and required work safe practices.
Maintains a clean, sanitary, and safe work area.
Shipping Material Examine and inspect customer orders to ensure accuracy with packing slips.
Pack, seal, label to prepare materials for shipping.
Determine shipping methods, routes, or rates as required for materials to be shipped.
Contact carrier representatives to make arrangements or to issue instructions for shipping and delivery of materials.
Deliver or route materials using forklift.
Requisition and store shipping materials and supplies to maintain inventory of stock.
Inventory Maintenance & Control Pack and unpack items to be stocked on shelves in the warehouse.
Store material in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses, supply rooms and other areas.
Examine and inspect inventory items for defects, reporting any damage to the supervisor.
Verify inventory calculations by comparing them to physical counts of stock, and investigate discrepancies or adjust errors using manufacturing software.
